Colby Hill Inn is a historic and quintessential New Hampshire bed and breakfast located on the Currier and Ives Byway. This is the ideal spot to explore our beautiful state (as well as all of New England) with friends or family – or on your own. 14 individually decorated guest rooms, many with period antiques each have a private bath, telephone, and CD/Radio Alarm clock. Some guest rooms feature wood-burning or gas fireplaces and in-room two-person whirlpools. Cozy down comforters, fluffy bathrobes, and hairdryers, along with king- and queen-sized beds, (some rooms have two beds or a sleeper sofa for a third guest) provide the perfect environment for your getaway. While the original home was built in 1797, we have added the creature comforts including central air conditioning throughout as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access. Each guestroom is unique; many have Oriental rugs, period antiques, four-poster beds, and individual touches not found in most lodgings.

Carriage House Family Suite
This is the perfect guest accommodation for a family or party of friends in the upper floor of the Carriage House! The suite combines a larger room with a queen and full bed with a smaller room with a queen bed; both rooms have private bath with shower and the smaller one even has a clawfoot bathtub (bath salts provided) overlooking the pool. Additionally, there is a small sitting area outside of the private rooms with a refrigerator, cushioned chairs, a television and room to play games or socialize. The larger room can also accommodate a roll-away bed. The rate of $399 per night is based upon four guests; add $50 per night for a fifth or sixth guest. Original overhead barn beams add rustic ambience. Split units are positioned in each room, as well as the social area, so that guests may control air and heat. In the summer, you’ll feel like you’re in a ‘tree house’ as it boasts a great view of the swimming pool and gigantic oak trees. Located on the second floor of the Carriage House, it is perfect for one or two guests. The large picture window in the smaller room also provides lots of afternoon sun and expansive views of spectacular sunsets, especially in the fall.

Carriage House Suite 1
Enjoy our most romantic accommodations at Colby Hill Inn with plenty of extra amenities in our first-floor Carriage House guest suite. Just steps from the main inn, Carriage House Suite 1 features a romantic two-person whirlpool, gas fireplace, and a Shaker reproduction queen-sized canopy bed. The seating area with loveseat, reading lamp, and television provide additional amenities for your romantic stay. A small refrigerator is also provided. Your door opens to a deck with lounge chairs that overlook the in-ground swimming pool and the hills beyond. You can access the pool directly from your deck and relax with an afternoon beverage overlooking the pool.

Carriage House Suite 2
The Carriage House Suites at Colby Hill Inn are our most romantic guestrooms. This first-floor guest suite features an elegant mahogany four-poster pineapple queen-sized bed. Enjoy the romantic two-person corner whirlpool – perfect for relaxing tired muscles! These guest accommodations face West for afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. There is also another window facing East for morning sun. A private bathroom features a large two-person dual rainwater shower. Two wing chairs in a seating area overlook the raditional gas fireplace (instant ambience with the flick of a switch!) with a traditional dental molding mantle. Above the fireplace, you will find a hidden flatscreen tv. A small refrigerator is also provided. Your door opens onto a deck with patio lounge furniture overlooking the in-ground swimming pool and the rolling hills in the distance.

Guest Room 1
Originally the front parlor of the house, this large, first-floor, corner guest room features a queen-sized brass bed with large windows facing East and South for lots of sunlight. One comfortable chair faces the original wood-burning fireplace (of course we provide the firewood, kindling and matches), making this a great spot for a glass of wine or a cozy nook in which to read. Another chair is set by a writing desk. Oriental rugs, sheer draperies with bullion fringe, and an antique bureau add to the elegance of the room. This guest room is one of the most romantic and requested guest rooms in the inn and has a soft neutral color palette. Take a peek outside one of the windows for the best view of our majestic maple tree on the front lawn of the Main Inn. Small private bathroom with shower. According to Colby Hill Inn history, this room was a favorite of New England College Alumni, actress Gina Davis. She stayed here when she gave the commencement address at New England College. All guestrooms include hairdryers. This guest room can accommodate a roll away for a third guest.

Guest Room 10
This room faces West with two large windows for plenty of sunlight and gorgeous sunsets too! Overlooking the gardens, barns, and gazebo, it’s decorated in shades of blue with accents in brown and rust. Located on the second floor of the main inn, this guest room is ideal for those needing two beds. The room features a double bed and twin bed and can comfortably accommodate three guests. A comfortable upholstered chair, chest of drawers, and small desk complete the room. Private bathroom with shower. This guest room can accommodate a rollaway for a third guest.

Guest Room 2
This lovely and spacious corner guest room is located on the first floor of the main inn. A reproduction Shaker four-poster queen-sized bed adds to the elegance of this room. With windows facing both South and West, there is plenty of sunlight. Tranquil and quiet; you can relax in the wing chair, listen to the birds chirping in the nearby trees, and enjoy the peaceful environment. Views out the window include our lovely garden area and gazebo. Period antiques, including a floor-length mirror make this room extra special. This is a delightful and very large corner room with plenty of light (windows facing East and South) on the second floor of the main inn. Original wide wood-planked floor, wainscoting, and elegant wallpaper highlight this room. The king-sized sleigh bed faces an original wood-burning fireplace (we supply the firewood!). Two classic wing chairs on either side of the fireplace make this the perfect guest room for relaxation, a private dinner for two, or a tranquil spot to read. Guest Room 4
Our very favorite bed resides in this lovely and large corner guest room on the second floor of the main inn. Overlooking the inn’s historical perennial gardens, an heirloom apple tree, antique barns, and gazebo, this room is so charming. Enjoy lots of windows for morning and afternoon sun (facing South and West) and lovely sunsets. The bed is a beautiful rope-turned four-poster king-sized bed facing a romantic gas fireplace (just flick the switch and you have instant warmth and ambience). Comfy wall-to-wall carpeting covers the floors. An antique velvet chair and elegant fainting couch complete the seating area in front of the fireplace. Perfect for cozy fireside reading, a private dinner in your room, or a glass of bubbly, this is one of the most elegant and comfortable rooms in the inn which makes up for the small private bath with shower.

This second-floor guest room in the main inn features a beautiful Victorian carved mahogany, queen-sized bed, which is the feature of this guest room; perfect for one guest or two. This smaller room faces East and is decorated in shades of rust and soft ivory. Wide-planked original wood flooring is complemented with a pretty Oriental rug. This smaller, classic guest room is decorated in soft shades of blue and gold and is located in the main inn on the second floor. This very warm and inviting accommodation enjoys morning sun as it faces East. A beautiful Oriental rug covers the wide wood floorboards. An antique high four-poster queen-sized bed is the centerpiece of this guest room. The matelasse coverlet with custom-made down comforter, and matching custom valances complete this lovely room. Located on the second floor of the main inn, this beautiful and spacious guest room has two large windows that overlook the perennial gardens, antique barns, and gazebo. The windows face West and provide the warmth of afternoon sun and lovely sunsets in the fall and early winter. Soft yellows highlight the stunning antique, queen-sized oak bed with high headboard. This very large corner room is located on the second floor of the main inn. It provides plenty of warm sunlight as it faces East and North. A traditional wood queen-sized bed and a small sofa that pulls out to a twin bed in an alcove make this the ideal guest room for families or those who like more space. The little alcove includes its own reading lamp and nightstand for a cozy read at the end of the evening. There is a small private bath with shower. An antique dresser and side chair complete the room. The floors are the original wide-planked wood, and Oriental rugs complement the room.
