Christmas Cheer Menu
A very special menu of Chef Barnes' favorite Christmas holiday foods. The menu is a la carte and runs daily from December 7 until December 30 (Wednesday through Sunday - private parties only on Mondays and Tuesdays). We will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and on Mondays and Tuesdays, except for parties of 25 or more. For the full menu, look under our Dining tab for the Holiday Menus. We will also have a full line of special Christmas season cocktails available. You'll get a great view from the restaurant of holiday lights throughout the gardens. This same menu is available for office parties. Consider having a private "sip and shop" cocktail party in our Winter Wonderbarn Local Craft Fair December 10-11 or 17-18 ($55 per person for 3 passed appetizers, 2 drink tickets, sales tax and gratuity).

Feast of Seven Wines Dinner
This evening celebrates the kick-off of our Chef's Christmas Cheer Menu (running in the Grazing Room from 12/7-12/30) and a visit from Brian Hinschberger of Bon Vivant Imports. The Chef will create a tasting menu of his Christmas Cheer Menu and pair 7 wines, in the tradition of the Feast of 7 Fishes, with selections from Brian's Italian and Portuguese wine portfolio. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Enjoy a holiday cocktail from 6:00-6:30 pm. The gardens will be fully lit with holiday lights and the inn and barn fully decorated. $120 per person.

Winter Wonderbarn Market & Cocktail Parties
Saturday and Sunday. 12:00 - 5:00 pm. 12/10-11, 12/17-18. Join us in our Winter Wonderland stylized barn (heated) to enjoy: *LOCALLY MADE CRAFT & FOOD GIFTS for the holidays! (Vendors should contact us at innkeeper@colbyhillinn.com) $40 vendor fee to include all 4 days. *GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET FOODS & DRINKS - Pork Schnitzel, Bratwurst Platter, Weisswurst Platter, Pierogi Platter, Cod Cakes, Cream of Chicken Mushroom Soup, Lobster Bisque. Stollen, Christmas Cookies. Gluhwein, Hot Chocolate, Mulled Cider (add some rum or bourbon). *Join us afterwards in the Grazing Room for our Chef’s Christmas Cheer Menu and a view of holiday lights throughout the gardens. Early seating begin at 4:00 pm. *LIVE HOLIDAY MUSIC - 12/10 to kick off the season! It's Almost Christmas! High Tea
THIS EVENT IS SOLD-OUT (11/30/22). Join us for a deluxe High Tea with some favorite Christmas treats! We begin at 12:30 pm. $60 per person includes a first round of mimosas, followed by your choice of holiday-inspired cocktails or the famous Cosmic Christmas Punch. Attendees should make time to also attend our Winter Wonderland Craft Fair in the barn (same day 12:00-5:00 pm).

Après-Ski Dinner Package
Surrounded by skiing options, we are embracing winter with an Après-Ski dinner package for guests to enjoy after the slopes. Working with Crush Distributors, we have discovered two wines from the French village of Apremont in Savoie to feature in this package: a Jacquère (white grape varietal) and Gamay (red grape varietal). Included in the package, for ($80 per person) are: 1) a glass of white and a glass of red Apremont wines; 2) a mixed winter greens salad; 3) a Cheese Fondue platter - includes grilled local beef tenderloin tips, shrimp, scallops, steamed and pickled vegetables, and crusty bread; 4) a shared dessert of your choice); and 5) your choice of a digestif or coffee beverage (including our Espresso Nightcap cocktail).

First-Ever ALL RED Wine Dinner (Argentina)
Join us for a 5-course dinner of Argentinian foods with red wine pairings form the Nomade Wine Company from Argentina. Founder Tomás Achával will be here to lead our discussion on these superb all red wines. $120 per person.

Valentine's Dinner
Yes, we will be open on a Tuesday to celebrate Valentine's Day! We are hosting a very special dinner for Valentine's Day on both Sunday (2/12) and Tuesday (2/14). The prix-fixe, four course, menu will be available soon on our Holiday Dining Page ($85 pp). Seating starts at 4:00 p.m. We will also have the option to reserve a private fireplace table in the parlor and in Rooms 1 and 3 (to be cleared of beds, etc.) for a very special stylized dining experience - $150 surcharge for parlor, $250 for private rooms - only one seating, so reserve early!

Frequent Diner Appreciation Cocktail Party
Barn Cocktail Party featuring a screening of "Wasted!: The Story of Food Waste". Includes wine tastings and signature cocktails and an array of Pan Asian organic appetizers. Keeping it local tonight with our favorite picks of Northeast wines brought to us by Northeast Wine Company (a distributor focused on the best wines of New England and the Northeast). Ceremonial launch of Colby Hill Farm. 4:00-6:15. Complimentary for Frequent Diners. $40 for other guests. Mexican Wine Weekend - Part 1
We were so impressed with a recent tasting of Mexican wines, that we agreed with the importer, Tozi Imports, that people need to try these wines! Friday - May 5 - A Cinco de Mayo-inspired Cocktail Party. 6:00-9:00 pm. Mezcal and Tequila tastings and cocktails, pours of selected Mexican wines. Food stations and passed appetizers. Live music. $80 per person. Saturday - May 6 - Mexican Wine Dinner. 6:00-9:30 pm. A five-course dinner with wine pairings for each course. $120 per person.

Mexican Wine Weekend - Part 2
We were so impressed with a recent tasting of Mexican wines, that we agreed with the importer, Tozi Imports, that people need to try these wines! Saturday - May 6. Mexican Wine & Around the Globe Dinner. 6:00-9:30 pm. A five-course dinner with wine pairings for each course. The Grazing Room's mission is "to bring global flare to locally grown foods". Tozi Importers want to show people that excellent Mexican wines can be paired with all sort of good food. So, don't expect just Mexican food at this dinner as Chef Barnes showcases his expansive expertise in global cuisines.

Blues Weekend: Celebrating Blueberries and Local Farmers & Fishermen
July 29 (Saturday) – Blues Weekend Part 1. We welcome both overnight inn guests and locals! For inn guests staying Friday and Saturday, expect blueberry breakfast treats to kick off this weekend. Then, we'll shuttle you to Grounding Stone Blueberry Farm (or, join our innkeeper in a bicycle-led adventure to the farm via the picturesque Curry & Ives Scenic Byway) at 11:30 am for picking your own organic blueberries (2 free pints per room) and a complimentary picnic lunch at this spectacular property. This will be a tented event outside to help keep everyone cool. Part 2 - Evening: Five-Course Wine Dinner In Partnership with Grounding Stone Organic Blueberry Farm in Contoocook, Crush NH Wine Distributors, and NH Music Collective. Live Blues Music. $130 pp. Part 3 - July 30 (Sunday). Part 4:00-7:00 pm Local Blueberry Contest - Various Categories. New England Clam Bake with special craft beer and wine flights (one blueberry selection in each). Blueberry dessert buffet. Live Blues Music. $100 pp.

Feast of the Beast (IV): Haunted New England
Our annual Halloween costume party will be back for its fourth year! This year the theme is a collection of favorite horror stories from New England - including Henniker's own Ocean Born Mary. $130 per person. Roasted pig feast. Spooky Dessert Buffet. 4 bar tickets. Visit by a featured wine maker. DJ. The barn will be heated for this event!
